Ft. Hamilton District 2005

The Ft. Hamilton District will be holding its annual
Program Kickoff Meeting on Wednesday June 1 at 6:00 P.M. at the
Fairfield Civitan. The address is 1381 Hunter Road, Fairfield,
OH 45014. (The June 9th Roundtable is canceled.)
Please send several representatives from your Pack or
Troop to learn more about our exciting District Program for the
upcoming year. We have moved the Program Kickoff from its
traditional date in August to June timing to provide as much
information as possible as you develop your Troop/Pack annual
calendar.
As part of our evening, you will receive your unit's
annual Program packet and learn more about exciting events such as
Merit Badge Challenge and our District Pinewood Derby. We plan
on having a Pinewood derby Track on hand to talk about this years
Derby.
This year we will also have several information booths
for folks to visit. As an example, this would be a great
opportunity to stop by the Cub Camping booth to sign your scout up for
one of our two Ft Hamilton Day Camps or to get more information on Fun
with Son at Cub World.
In another booth we will be demonstrating Troopmaster/
Packmaster to show how you can leverage this software for managing
your unit including Rechartering.
As always, our renowned Trail Bosses, Larry Timmer,
Gen Rolke, Charley McClary, and “Sweetpea” Reedy, will be grilling up
sizzling steak dinners with corn on the cob and baked potatoes.
To add to the main course, we are asking the Cub Scout leaders to
bring a vegetable or side dish and the Boy Scouts leaders to bring a
desert to share with your fellow Scouters. The BEST $5.00 STEAK
DINNER in town, including entertainment and a Sneak Preview of our
upcoming Program make this a "Can't Miss" event.
Please RSVP with your name and unit number to John
Trebbien at 513-829-2299 or via email at
JohnTrebbien@yahoo.com prior to May 27th if you will be attending
the Program Kickoff. All Early Bird reservations that are
received by May 20th will automatically be entered into a raffle for a
popcorn basket worth over $230!!
Yours in Scouting,
