The purposes of the Communications Committee:
- To ensure general communications within the district.
- To notify Scouters and Scouting families of events and
details of activities of district wide interest and importance.
- To distribute information to Scouters and Scouting families
that can enhance the Scouting experience.
- To develop and maintain appropriate email communication
groups. See our Yahoogroups

- To develop and maintain the district’s website.
- To gather and submit articles for the Fireside Chat.
- To gather and submit notices and appropriate Scouting
information to the public media that serve the district.
- To provide information to those outside of Scouting about
our Scouting program, its activities and results, and how to
contact the appropriate people to join or support the program.
District Historian
The District Historian is part of the
Communications Committee. Fort Hamilton has a museum and a
large display of uniforms, memorabilia, photographs, news
articles, etc. that are shown at various Scouting events. We
are always looking for additional items.
