Mission
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to serve others by
helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to
prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in
achieving their full potential. The values we strive to
instill are based on those found on the Scout Oath, Law, Motto,
and Slogan.
Fort Hamilton's mission is to support the purpose of the Scouting
program as it was established in America in 1910 to help young
people grow into capable, responsible, and well-rounded citizens.
Our programs result in strengthening our entire community (both
youth and adults) through leadership and example by instilling
skills and self-confidence in our participants and molding them
with our history of kindness, bravery, honesty, and our all-out
pursuit of excellence.

| "Scouting is really the embodiment
of community pride; it's a wonderful community asset that
must be encouraged and perpetuated." |
